Heres the link to the recovery DVD set.
As for making the recovery DVD(s), I don’t know how myself. I think there is a tutorial or something of the like, here on the forum.
Good luck either way.

SOLUTION:
There are no System Recovery CDs (SRCDs) included with the computer. The recovery data is included on a special partition of the hard drive. Follow this procedure to create a Recovery Media Kit, which can be used as an emergency backup for the recovery partition.
IMPORTANT:
Rewritable media cannot be used to create the Recovery Media Kit.
Not all computers have the capability to write to DVD media. Consult the specifications for the computer for additional information.
Do not interrupt the power during the recovery process.
Ensure all open programs are closed.
Ensure all network connections are disconnected.
Ensure all peripheral devices are disconnected.
From within the VAIO Recovery Wizard window, under Media and Recovery Options, click to select the Create Recovery Media Kit (Strongly Recommended) option.
Click the Next button.
Under You have two choices for recovery media…, click to select the desired option to create the Recovery Media Kit:
One recordable compact disc and two recordable DVD disc(s)...
10 Recordable compact discs…
NOTE: The media that can be used may vary depending on the type of disc drives present in the computer. Details are provided in the VAIO Recovery Wizard window.

I should of wrote this in the topic…Sorry…
Does anyone have a link to buy the dvd recovery disk(s)?
I wish sony would include them, I mean we pay so much for these notebooks and they won’t spring for an item that cost lest than a dollar to make..

Chris, I did not perform the back up disc buring at first either. There was an icon in the system tray (lower right corner, hidden) that you can click. Note, that Sony creates a registry entry when you burn the disks so that it does not continue to remind you (or allow you to easily make multiple discs). I am sure there is an executable somewhere in one of the sony folders if you look. Mine took one DVD +R and one CDR and consumed about an hour of time (mainly compiling the image to burn). Hope this helps.
