I haven’t really seen any true Desktop replacement in my mind.
Alienware has a Notebook that you can swap out the videocard…thats a step in the right direction.
For me, 99% of why I own a desktop is upgradability. Want more space…sure 200GB HD…more memory? 2GB and more…another optical drive released? $250 and under for the top dog…get my point?
Notebooks become outdated very quickly because they can only be upgraded to a point {at least the notebooks of today}. Eventually when notebooks outsell desktops and you can mix and match components, then and only then, will I consider a notebook to be a replacement for a fully upgradable desktop.
