hey guys in this SONY TR FORUM, dont u think sony picturebook c1 series better than current PDA on the market?(that’s what i think.. correct me if i am wrong about it)

you are comparing laptops to pdas.

IMO it’s an impossible question to answer given the information provided.

It’s like saying…what’s better, a Hummer or a Ferrari? Well, if you work in the Amazon jungle, obviously a Hummer would be better.

Your comparing Apples to Oranges.

A PDA has instant on, better battery life, weighs next to nothing, has a small footprint…but none of these factors may be important to you…

It really depends on what you need to do with either machine…then you can decide which is better for you, and why.

but if u look the size between them are pretty much same. let’s say clie UX-50 is really similar to the picturebook. they have camera built-in, bluetooth built-in, and the screen are same too. the different between them is that picturebook need to load operating System windows and the UX-50 does need to load those PALM OS operating system.

They are nothing alike…one has something like a 4” screen, the other has a 9”. One weighs 6oz, the other, 2.2lbs…

Honestly, about the only thing alike is that they are both made by Sony…and the BT and Camera as you stated previously.

Doesn’t matter linc…the C1VN Picturebook and the UX50 are both so very sexy…

Although I’m the biggest fan of the C1VN, I must say the UX50 rocks it.  I would normally use the C1VN to write word, use powerpoint, do excel and even browse the internet….all of which you can do with the UX50…

Note: You need to buy Documents to Go 6 for the UX50…

No matter what, the C1VN needs to be used in sync with a desktop, it’s no desktop replacement, but then so does the UX50…

exactly..which one would you rather carry..? like tifosiv122 stated.. identify your needs then determine which one is for you.  you really can’t compare the two.

I think he should go with the type S.

besides it about the same size and weight as the other two he’s comparing…

you’ll be better off with ux50.  unless you can read japanese. (the native OS is japanese for vz90)

is there any of u owning UX-50 ?  i might wanna know how good UX-50 from your own experience. could u please share couple info about it?
