Hey everybody, so I’ve been reading around a bit, looking for answers, and I’ve come to the conclusion I need a new hard drive.  I COULD send it in to repairs at Sony, but thats a bit expensive.  So I was wondering:

How hard is it to open up the TR and install a new drive yourself?

I know its a 40 gigs, and its one of those 1.8 drives.  (I own a Sony TR2A).  I’ve opened up laptops before and always been fine, just never one as small as this TR.  Do you all think it would be wise to attempt my own repair?

another word of advice, when prying the front white panal off, pull down from the hinges.  it makes popping off the white panel easier
