Does look really nice. But i like the TR better. Obviously after every new thing comes in the market the manufacturer tries its best to entice. And its got its good points as well, the fact that its so thin. But i think i definately like the white over the black look. May be its just. What do you guys think ?

It would be really nice if someone compared it with a TR thou.

Actually, the standard 700m battery protrudes from the rear of the machine.  Though you are correct that it appears that the Dell has the extended battery vs. the standard battery on the T.  Point can be made that because the extended battery on the Dell is close to the capacity (if not a tad less) than the capacity of the T the comparison is reasonable.

My question deals with the A/C adapter…according to the original pics the end was 90 degree angle…it doesn’t look like that in the pic…can anyone confirm?

I think that’s the TR AC adaptor. The transformer brick is longer than the new T-style brick.

The adapter plug extends straight out of the jack there isn’t a 90 degree bend.

This is not a conspiracy, it was just a gut reaction based upon having owed a tr for a year and now a dell for five weeks.  I just wanted to put up some pics of the new machine compared with my current machine since I did not find many on the web thus far.  I am not trying to make or break any sell of the sony, nor the dell.  I no longer have a tr, so I obviously cannot compare the two. 

AC adapter:

Actually, that is the ac adapter that came with the new T.  I saw the photos online also and the one that arrived did not match them nor did the unit did not even have the trademark VAIO etched into it like my tr.  The box is even not so thrilling compared to the tr.  Perhaps, the 1/2 sized brick I have seen is for the u70 and not the new t???  Confirm???

I was a little disappointed in the adapter, but it is still so small I put in my jacket pocket today.  I could not have done that with my tr nor the dell. 

Regarding the battery, I only had the extended battery with me, so that is the one I used.  I only had a few minutes to shap a few shots before leaving to go out of town.  Thus, they may not have been completely thought out.  Mind you, I used the tr for a year and the dell for only five weeks.  None the less, there is obviously a contrast effect of having used the dell then seeing the t150.  I do recall making more typo mistakes on the tr than on the new t.  The keyboard layout just seems better, if not wider overall.  Still sluggish compared to the 1.8 mhz dell, but much more portable than the dell and slimmer than both the dell and the tr.  Only had it for four days, but am pleased thus far. 

btw, I am selling the Dell with 80 gb hd, 768 ram, dvdrw and 2yr accidental coverage for significantly less than the t if anyone is interested.  Probably ebay it this weekend.

Sexy.  What’s the specs on the T?  Is it close to the specs on the TR5?  Maybe I should have waited, especially since I just bought my TR3A in early September.

Yeah, this is the A/C I am talking about…

I though we said it was for the T…guess not. I am going to order it though, I think it’s better for my 505 because it sticks out the side.

Ahhh, forgot that this brick was for the side plug in vaios.  The T plugs into the back, thus the different adapter.  Thanks for clearing that up.

but i think it should work for nearly all sony vaio models, huh?

I love my T-150….I do miss how on the other power adapter plug would glow green….But, I like how the power button on the T-150 glows…
