I was wondering if they have some kind of a tv tuner that I can plug into my sony tr so that I can watch a basketball game or something when I’m on the road??? 

Please let know how much and if it performs well.

Otherwise, you can pick up a USB tuner, but not many come with an antenna, so you’ll need a coaxial input to get a signal. I use an ATI USB TV Wonder to watch shows occasionally, but all the extra wiring and bulk is a pain, so I record shows on another machine and stream them wirelessly to the TR.

It should be more than fast enough with ~60MB/s bandwidth. Furthermore, most of these devices also include some sort of hardware compression to keep the data rates acceptable (3-5MB/s).

I don’t see why it’d be too hard to do it. I mean. The laptop already has a screen. It has power. All you would need is an antenna and hardware.
