Thats how even book buybacks work…u buy a book for $150 and for buyback even if the book is in excellent condition expect just 20-30 bucks for it

you can see, that it’s a third party running the site.  it’s tradeups.com, i’m sure they have some agreement with Sony, but basically they take your used item, sell it on ebay or to a company for at least 2X as much as you traded it in for.

They then pay sony a monthly statement regarding how much people bought with their trade in dollars.

It’s actually a pretty good scam, if you’re stupid enough to trade in a $2K laptop for 200$

yeapp.. i sell my books to other students, i get a lot better price.
