Well CF has, and for the near future, will always be the #1 flash type. Smart Media is all but dead (IMO because it was fragile) and SD emerged as the second biggest type.

MS has a future as long as Sony keeps shoving it down our throats…now that they use CF and MS in their higher end products its likely that one day they might ditch MS…maybe.

I think we’re stuck with it until Sony decides to leave us with a handfull of useless memory.

Sony’s insistance on proprietary (and overpriced) BS is one thing that kept me away from their data products. I find being locked-in by a manufacturer offensive. They managed to confuse and take advantage of a lot of people by insisting on calling firewire Ilink. Joe consumer didn’t realize that it didn’t have to say Sony to work.
