WOW sweet….my dream is to do the same thing you are doing now…
I was gonna ask you to get me a new TR5 from JP, but thought it would be too much (poor student here)....
Maybe check out the new VAIO notebooks not available here and desktops, like VAIO P and VAIO M.

See if you can find some Jog Dial Remotes (JR1). They aren’t showing up on Ebay anymore. If you can get some I am sure they will be easy to sell at home. I for one, will buy one.
I would be happy to carry some small stuff back home for some here, but I won’t be hitting the US at all this year - not before the end of March, at the earliest. Only Europe and then Asia again. Tour schedules, that’s life…
I finally got to see the new Sony laptops except for the T series. The S is nice, I see what the rave is all about. But it’s still a bit big for my taste. The TR and its slow hard drive will stay with me for a while yet, I guess.
I can look for the Jog Dial remotes—thanks for providing the part number, that will make life easier!
Well, I finally got to see and hold the new T model. Very nice, although I neglected to check out anything to do with Bluetooth. There were two different processor variations on display, one with 1.1 GHz Pentium M and a 900 MHz Celeron. Otherwise, it was very pretty. Since they were display models, the battery was taken out, so I can’t comment on how it just out.
I even took some pics! If anyone is interested in hosting them, write your email address and I’ll get them out to you.

Great work…..I am excited to see the pics….I know they have the two different models….I just don’t understand why someone would want the 900 MHz celeron?
Isn’t the pentium m where a lot better? like 700-800mhz and save on battery life….
this seems like a step back?
ANyway glad to here you are having or had a good time in Japan….Anything else exciting did you see over there?

Hey babahi… what is your line of work? (tour schedules???)
(added: I know it is music but what exactly is it that makes you have to travel… are you a mixer and a groupie? )
