I want to be able to use internet on my Sony ericsson P900, by transferring the connection over BT from my TR which has a broadband connection.

Any idea how to achieve this feat ?

:?:  i know that there are a lot of different thread on here doing all kinds of different BT tricks….Did you try a search?

That seems like a “backwards” thing to do. I don’t think the phone was meant to used like that and it doesn’t seem like it makes sense why you would want to do that.

I thought it sounded kinda strange.

Yeah I have done this before.
Assuming that you have the P900 and the TR paired and connected with a serial COM port then all you need to do is use Opera browser (comes on the applications cd).  It should automatically detect the internet through your TR when you open a page.
I’ve actually only done this with my desktop and P900 but should be the same.

gr00vy - it might seem strange to do, but sometimes when i’m feeling really lazy and want to look something up I can just get phone out without leaving the sofa :oops:

Thats a P800/P900/P910 connected over Bluetooth to your Desktop/Notebook and listening to music with P900 OggPlay. Especially good for watching WAP forums.

Yes so long as your Desktop/Notebook has Bluetooth & you have an active connection with the SonyEricssson PC suit then ensure GPRS is not active, run the Opera browser and it will use your PC connection (assuming you have broadband). You would have to have initiated a Dial-Up connection on the PC if you don’t have broadband.

I have my TR connected to broadband via a WiFi ADSL router with P910i connected to the TR via BT and it even uses the Broadband connection over the WiFi network.
