For those still paying attention…the TR sold. After a bit of negotiation, we settled at $2,900.00. I had my reasons…I didn’t want to wait for ebay to close and possibly have a bidder that backs out…plus I save the ebay final fees as well as paypal fees because i was paid via Certified Check.
Paypal charges 3% which is $87 and ebay would charge me $80.37…so I saved over $160 by doing it this way, more then the highest bid at that point.
I did, however, buy my first add-on…the DVD-+RW drive:
Hey, I saved $100 on that…plus, by using my Sony Card to purchase the x505 I will get a free Sony BT adapter…not too bad.
Thanks for everyone’s help!
Erik

The only thing I don’t like about the x505 is no xbrite or the maxed out 512 of ram…
Also does it come with bluetooth?
Anyway I am happy for Erik….I hope he enjoys it…..
He sad that extra pound would weight down his backpack…and he already bought a external dvd-rw off ebay

you don’t really need 1gb of ram. the only time i see a benefit is when i run massive amounts of programs. for what he’s using it for, it’s perfect.
