Has anyone tried out floAt’s Mobile Agent ? This is for people using Sony Ericsson phones. I’m not sure about exactly which models it supports but I do know people are using it with T68x, T6xx, and Z600 series of phones.

The software allows you to completely control your phone and edit contacts, calendar, text messages, themes, sounds, settings, etc. It even displays signal strength, battery levels, and phone temperature.

It uses Bluetooth, cable and IR types of connections to speak with your phone. I’m mostly interested in the Bluetooth support since SE’s software sucks.

Although Outlook support is still coming, it can import multiple vCards(.VCF) for mass updating of your contacts.

The interface is straightforward and easy to use. I recommend it if you have a compatible SE phone.

I forgot the other cool thing about this software…using one of the built-in scripts, it allows you to control multimedia apps on your PC. Using a Bluetooth connection, I can run the open/close the following applications on my TR:

WinAMP
PowerDVD 5
WindDVD
iTunes
BSPlayer
Media Player 9
Happauge WinTV
MoreTV
Volume Control (Windows Volume)
Mouse Control (Control windows mouse)
Powerpoint
Other (generic function so far…i.e. Lock the PC)

In addition to launching the programs, you can play, rewind, fast forward, pause, repeat, shuffle, etc. with a lot of these apps.

For all the apps I have on the list they work surprisingly well. It’s pretty crazy.

It works like a charm with my T616, but not with my P900. :cry: The proximity feature would be pretty damn cool… if it worked.

I’ve been using this with a T610 for quite a while and it works great.  The proximity feature only works if you have ‘Auto Reconnect’ enabled (on the Connection menu).

They also have a great forum and are very supportive of their user community.  I’ve had suggestions implemented within days in some cases.  :D

Yeah, this software is great.  I like being able to control all the aspects of my t68i without having to touch the phone.  Importing number, groups, changing profiles, etc…  i love all the remote control scripts.  might actually toss my presentation remote and get the laserpointer for the t68i.  the proximity feature works for me, which is nice cause when i leave my desk i take my palm and my phone, which then locks my computer.  very nice.

This software kicks butt, but wont work too well with my SE T608 since it was hamstrung by Sprint.  I have used it with a T610 and it worked great.

Are you referring to FMA? If so, it’s only for SE phones.

FMA works great with my T68i.
