Thought I’d share a few pics of my constantly changing workspace… The lack of any kind of furniture and gadgetry is due to the fact that I move around very, very often.. plus I’m close to broke having paid my way through university… I can’t wait till I start making some serious cash to get bigger and better things… but.. anyways.. given those circumstances, gotta maximize on those bucks and buy things that are cheap, high quality, and small for the mobile Me!
Pictured below is one of the many workspaces that I’ve come to occupy.. The room was quite small and.. I guess.. it’s worth mentioning that what is NOT pictured below is an inflatable mattress which I prop up every morning against the wall beside the stool/desk. Anyhow, given the uncertainty of my residency.. I needed a desk; however, I was tight on space so I had to be a little resourceful  . I found a stool in the kitchen.. removed the cushion.. and threaded the original screws into an extra board kicking around in the closet.. so, voila: desk.
That, my friend, is a SONY TR2E with 768 MB of RAM and 802.11b/g+BT! Bought it in Akihabara.. Japan. Sweet deal. I also got the Vaio semi-hard case that fits the TR perfectly..
I recently moved again and this time, into a much bigger room with a REAL DESK! I believe I’ve inherited a desk made by IKEA..
What you see are the following: a six inch personal fan pointed directly at the TR which works marvelously keeping the computer nice and cool.. a set of DENON speakers that come with my DENON mini hi-fi [it’s a very rare item, model#: D-M03—bought from Mongkok HK] Shoot.. if only I had a pic of the actual unit itself around here.. but it’s a really sweet system with a champagne-gold finish idiosyncratic of the DENON systems of the late 80s. The 2-point STEREO SETUP sound glorious..
Well.. I’ve got a few more pics.. but.. the living environment is so ghetto.. it’ll scare you. :D
