How would the Fujitsu P1000 not work? Exact Specs vs. MS OneNote’s Requirements:
[quote author=“Fujitsu”]LifeBook P1120
FPCM20101
• 800 MHz Crusoe™ TM5800 processor with LongRun™ Power Management
• Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
• 8.9” wide-format XGA TFT with touch screen (1024 x 600)
• 256 MB memory²
• 30 GB hard drive³
• External USB 3.5” floppy drive
• Built-in multinational4 56K5 V.90 modem
• Integrated 802.11b wireless LAN
• Built-in 10/100 Ethernet
• Quick Point pointing device and stylus
[quote author=“MS OneNote”]
> Personal computer with Intel Pentium 233-MHz or faster processor
> 128 MB of RAM or greater
> CD-ROM or DVD drive
> Super VGA (800 Ã 600) or higher-resolution monitor
> Windows XP or later, or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3
And you don’t even have to buy a CD-RW drive… just share your desktop’s cd drive over your network. Isn’t this a much cheaper solution? And the Fujitsu P1000 is VERY nice… had the pleasure of seeing one in Starbucks…
[quote author=“tifosiv122”]OnMyWayUp - I can’t use a PPC or Clie…I use MS OneNote (in fact i’m in love with it!)
So true. I use MS OneNote for all my notetaking and when I’m collecting information for anyone of my projects. It’s so unbelievably intuitive and it makes taking notes (and organizing them later) a real breeze. With my TR, I used the built-in microphone to also record certain parts of the lecture for playback later when I was reviewing my notes. I also love the fact you can pull in pictures or data from the internet (also showing you the URL where you got it from). For those of you using the TR (or any other notebook) in school, you should go out and buy a copy of Microsoft OneNote.
[quote author=“gameson”]how do u record using TR built-in mic? do i need software? can you show me how? thanks.
btw, how do u use one note with TR? i thought one note is only for tablet PC…
Yeah, every student must use onenote, it rules!
When you install onenote you can click the mic icon and it records in the background automatically. You can hear the whole lecture or when you click on what you typed you hear 5 seconds before, during, and 5 seconds after (in case you didnt type everything), this is the best feature.
You dont need a tablet, the tablet just allows you to write handwritten notes.
