i received the new tr5 today and I totally enjoyed it for the first 10 minutes…then run time errors all over the place from 2 programs; Sony update and another sony program, cant remember it now. what a mess.
so i moved on to making restore dvd’s. it was writing away and a message came up saying ‘put in another dvd’, so I did. 5 dvd’s later and they were all blank. i put them in blank and blank they came out. it wrote nothing. somethings wrong with the dvd-rw. yep im using the right format of dvd.
then to top it off, 6 hours of trying to get the media roomlink working. i followed the book, the online support and searched the knowledge base. nothing. can’t get the roomlink to register. then every so often my new friend, runtime error, would show up.
if you buy a media roomlink with the TR series, all you’ll be able to do is view photo’s and listen to music, NO video at all. if you want the video feature, make sure you get a vaio with giga pocket software. TR doesn’t have giga pocket software for watching video’s on the tv, and recording the tv.
i’ve had it. its enough already. i can’t be bothered with tech support. don’t know if they are 24 hours and at this point i don’t care.
i am totally bummed. i’ve worked so hard for so long researching out a new laptop. oh well. back to the drawing board.
back it all goes tomorrow to sony on the 20 day money back guarentee.
