It looks like I’m back in the holding pattern.  It appears the TR2AP3 although still available from Sony has been discontinued.

I placed an order for two TR2AP3s from CDW as of 12/23/03 and they have been on backorder since.  I just heard that they will not be filling the order.

What to do now?  Order them from Sony or stay in the holding pattern for the TR3/SP?  In light of this new information - any ideas how long it could be before the TR3 hits the US?

Why this model on available in the US for less than 2 months? :?

Original subject said TR3 but it was the TR2.  oops.

Anyway - I jumped on the TR2AP1 and ordered 512 RAM.  The guy gave me a good deal because of the hastle.  Should be here today.  In the end I lost wireless G (but I have a card and only use it at home).  Looks like I’ll save a few hundred bucks and end the waiting.  8)
