[quote author=“OnMyWayUp”][quote author=“dbs”][quote author=“Chris687”]I was wondering if anyone tried to use a bloothtooth pc card adapter. I search around the internet and didn’t find anything that didn’t go past the slot and sitck out.

The reason I wanted to do it this way. I thought it would be hella lot easier install.
Has to stick out… antenna.
Exactly how does it have to stick out? They could have laced it inside the PCMCIA card itself. For internal installation the antenna wire doesn’t have to dangle, so why exactly would the antenna have to stick out. :? It wouldn’t have had any interference if the internal installation doesn;t have any and that is with it being within 1mm proximity of the optical drive… and right in the center of everything else.
Because PC Card slot may well be in a shielded location. The slot itself may be shielded. Most cards are in a metal case, to provide shielding. Finally, the location of the slot on the TR is under the keyboard which would be a pretty effective RF shield.
The location of the TRs internal BT antenna was designed to allow it to work.
