well, my tr3 hard drive was split between 10 gig of mp3 and 10 gig of docs/pics, but i just got an ION 160 gig external that is usb or firewire and is fantastic.  it seems that an external drive is a must if u have a TR. i noticed no dif in speed on this drive between firewire and usb interface, but i did notice that my new external sony DVD burner performed better on firewire than usb, and that was due to using less CPU cycles.

i also managed to free up about 4 gig on the D drive that was hiding in an unallocated space!  i found this by inspecting my system with partionmagic 8.0 which is a tool i highly recommend. perhaps what i wiped out was the recovery partion but ah who cares about that!

cool, i almost got that one too - designed by porsche - but got the ION 160 one instead, also looks “different” but was much cheaper.
