DVD+R disk on DVD-ROM?

Greetings everyone,

I have DVD-ROM on my vaio desktop and was wondering if I could burn DVD+R disks on it? is there anything I could do and does it worth it?
upgrade firmware? where and how?..
any comments.

If it’s not a DVD+R or RW, it can’t burn DVD+Rs. Period. Buy a DVD+-RW drive. They’re ludicrously cheap these days.
