has anyone tried to successfully connect the sony ericsson bluetooth headset? what software did you use and can you explain the procedure.

i am using bluespace ne 3.3 and it can detect and successfully pair and authenticate the headset but there are no services available.

i also checked the thread about jabra bt200 but still doesn’t work

the ONLY bluetooth software i have gotten to work with my SE phone/tr is called bluesoliel, a free download. it supports the headset i believe but dont have sniff. go here for more info: http://www.ivtcorporation.com/

I’ve been able to get my SE T68i phone to work with the TR using XP native and BlueSpace. EXCEPT for headset support on the TR or voice links between the TR and phone.

jig, I recall you saying you talked them out of a license for the software. Any tips? I’m tempted to download and try it, but the ultimate frustration would be to find something that works and be unable to use it. :x

no i never talked to them at all, i just downloaded v1.4.5 months ago, and i am almost 100% sure then there was no limit on the evaluation copy.  it seems like it was freeware at one point and now is not.  the version online is 1.4.7 and has a 5m transfer limit?! so it says…i dont get this company, they do not mention sales of the bluesoleil software anywhere - sorry!

i dont understand IVT corp at all.  what are they, a bluetooth think tank? perhaps its just a cover for prison/intelligence contractors in iraq.

i was able to make my t68i work with my tr using bluespace 3.3 but the bluetooth headset doesn’t work.

we know.. the topic is about getting bt headsets to working with the tr..

well, to maintain my discipline of being off topic, here’s a question: WHY?  why use a phone headset on the TR? is a stereo headset for music too? or do u answer calls on the TR?  confused as usual.

i personally don’t see the point of bt headsets.. but i guess it’s pretty cool if you can use it to send voice and data between devices wirelessly without the use of headphones & microphones..

This is a bit nonlinear but read on, it all comes together.

I have a bluetooth headset I use with my phone. Works well.

When I pair the phone with the TR, it would be nice to have the capability of bridging the voice channel to the TR and using the TR like a speakerphone. (I have software that tells me who’s calling. I get a little popup window with an answer button.)

If I could pair a headset to the TR it would provide all the functions of a wired headset/microphone; hearing the TR without bothering others, voice chat (video or otherwise), internet telephony. A stereo headset would add music, movies, etc.

Ideally when both phone and headset are connected to the TR, you could answer or place calls from the TR and talk using the headset.

my t68i works great.  it…

tells me the temperature
controls winamp
controls windows media player
controls internet explorer (though i never use this)
controls my volume…

so in short, i walk around my entire studio listening to whatever music i want to.  i’ll test out a headset when i get one

linc, a bluetooth headset would allow us to talk on dialpad w/out any cords.  it’s kinda like a wireless phone
