I have a Tr2MP & the 2DVD recovery Disks.

How can I get my laptop back to Day One Config?

is it easy with the Recovery disks?

I’ve looked on here and just got more confused   :?

I some nice person could put an Idiots guide, or point my to the right place I’d be grateful

You just have to make sure that your Vaio will boot on your cd/dvd drive (either using the bios or easier using the installed Sony Notebook Setup utility). Place the first recovery dvd (i only received one, so i guess there is a boot disk and another one holding all the required stuff ... strange since i also have a TR2MP too ...) and reboot your vaio. You’ll see an alert asking you to confirm something similar to “Do you want to erase everything and fully reinstall the vaio ?” ... Just press “Y” for yes and there you go, it will copy all the files from the dvd to your vaio and you’ll have a brand new vaio

It sounds like you have all the disks that you’ll need. Your TR should have also came with a manual to take you through the process.

Do 10 cds included software parts as well?

it would be a good idea to backup all the data that you want to keep..
