I have a TR5 :D and live over here in the UK :|

I need to get a bit more oomph with the battery on longer trips and turned to the Extended Battery as an option.

Is the Extended Battery a replacement for it’s standard battery or is it a clip on, piggy back sort of thing.

Also can I buy this from the US or do the models differ.

Also this goes for previous, do you know if a TR1, 2 or 3 will fit?

Unless you come to the US, shipping and, likely, tarifs are an issue.

Well, without igniting the topic of exploding batteries again… excuse the pun 8)

It would seem that I could get hold of a replacement for my TR5 for about £70 versus Sony’s Rip off Extended Battery for £260!!

It may just be worth giving it a go.

It would seem that I could get hold of a replacement for my TR5 for about £70 versus Sony’s Rip off Extended Battery for £260!!

It may just be worth giving it a go.

I’d be VERY concerned about a £70 battery if the Sony is going for 260. The cell technology is very expensive and quality 3rd party suppliers can usually only save you around 10% over a discounted Sony unit.
