I just reinstalled WinXP hoping that that would fix my hibernation lag problems and it hasn’t… So i’m thinking it could be my HD now. Does anybody elses TR HD ...i guess…click… when you access certain information, logon, transfer a somewhat larger file ( ^ 50mb)???
Just wondering if I should take my TR back to BestBuy and have them get me a new one… Thank God i got that warranty…a new battery whenever the old one bigins to lose too much charge…YES!
which warranty did you get? Mine was an additional $300 but it is good for 3 years… which won’t matter since I plan on getting a NEC Lavie or SONY S in about another 8-10 months anyway..
I get some clicking occasionaly when the drive is shutting down..
He has an extended, which covers the battery, as does mine. I have my choice of a replacement battery or $150 credit towards an extended one. The entire plan cost me $150 for 2 extra years or 3 years of coverage including accidental damage.
o…k… Sorry lost you guys… I was just sorta stating that it was a good thing I got a warranty…Did you guys think had yours’ or something? Mine’s from BestBuy and covers the battery for the entire three years and any other damage “as long as it wasn’t self-inflicted”. (thats what they told me… I was like…yea figured that…)

You lost tmkt, I understood you fine. I think it was a great investment, which is why I bought one myself, for the battery alone it paid itself off.
[quote author=“OnMyWayUp”]Yup…so does your plan give you a new one everytime your battery begins to fail? Mine will give them to me until the three years is over…
Yeah, or $150 credit toward an extended one…if I get the extended one and it fails, I get another extended one free.

Do you have to turn in the old battery to get a replacement? If not, I’m thinking “Free Extra Batteries!” :D

Sorry…. couldn’t tell you. Purchased my first HP in April and took it back 4 times in that month. Then got the TR3A but took it back in July right before the battery went. Now I’ve got my S and had it since. So I won’t be having to return til probably December for a new battery. But basically I know I can get 2 a year before they start asking questions… great deal for a $250-$300 warranty.
