So get this…I started law school today. They tell us that for $10 a person we can take our exams on our laptops instead of pen/paper. The catch? You must install their software (no biggie) and you can only hand in your e-paper via floppy. Great. I just ordered Sony’s 3.5” USB drive…I’ll post a review late this week when it shows up.

You can get those on Ebay going from $12 to $25. It is just a cute VAIO floppy drive that all the review it needs.

Ordered it from Staples.com, $49.99 shipped.
I wasn’t really looking for the best deal, I just wanted it quickly.

Be careful with the Sony USB 2.0 (2x) floppy drive. Works great, you can really notice the speed difference but it will not boot a TR. Minor dissapointment for emergency situations. My other slim LaCié boots and works fine.
Best,
Marcelo

Actually the FLASH doesn’t belong there. But a couple of generations of Bernoulli and Zip cartridges might.

If the poster was trying to show the evolution of portable storage, then Flash is the most advanced, IMO. The Zip drive is definately dead.

Then he should start with a removable disk cartridge, they were big, but they did have a handle.

If you really want to get technical, he should have started with an old metal file cabinet. :D
