[quote author=“babahi”]Just found this thread now, coming back from my vacation…
Are you satisfied with the T1? Do you get blurry shots or have you mastered the “rock”?
I have had mine since February and am plagued by red eyes in all my pics, blurry shots, and bad low-light results.
On the plus side, the day pics are sharp and full of detail. And that big screen is fontastic.
I’m mostly satisfied, enough that I’m considering trying to sell the T1 so I can get the upcoming T3. The T1 lens cover has always bugged me a little.
As for stability, well, mostly. :?
Redeye is pretty much unavoidable because of the proximity of the flash to lens. I guess that’s why we have photo editing software. I’ve kept to avialable light when I could.
For the most part I’ve been shooting available light, using the bracketing option. Three frames with one over and one under calculated exposure. Usually get at least one sharp image with good shadow detail (if it’s important to the shot).
I haven’t done a lot of flash shots, but I did turn off the pre-flash (redeye reduction). I didn’t like the “focus” light and turned it off. When I pretty much know where my subject will be I use fixed focus.
So, for me, the answer is yes, I like the T1 within its limitations.
