I don’t know that I’ve noticed any improvement, but it’s been stable. Sure did simplify my Add/Remove program listing when the patches on patches on patches became SP2

wow, thats right!  worth the upgrade for that factoid alone.  now, if i could only figure out how to get the bogus sonic stage entry out…. :D

If I remember correctly you can go into the registry and just delete an entry to remove something from the add/remove list… I just can’t remember where it is :?

yeah i know, but i dont like to manually edit the registy very much and unless i get a tool, i’ll leave it.  no biggie.  just another anoyance from sony software…. :mrgreen:

Well should it p*ss you off anytime soon here is the microsoft website telling you where to go and how to choose the correct entry

oh u are such a smarty pants!  unfortuanatly, those instructions are typical of ms, unsatisifying.  there is no way i am going to go thru all the entries in my insane registry and click on the displayname key to find whatever sony named sonic stage.  (doing a search on stage or sonic yeild no results).  i think i went thru this once on the last tr.  deja vu!

argghhh…picturegear studio is not in the registry uninstall list but maybe that’s why u can’t remove it from the add or remove programs.  its just a circular ms goof up…or operator error but those registry lists give me a headache.

well, it could be and the entry is there but disguised somehow?! as this is software installed by sony on the delivered tr3.  somethings wierd here. the knowledge page u pointed me to seems to pertain to the uninstall section of the registry and by deleting the displayname key i guess that removes it from the add program list.

grooveyone i know u know a software package that is safe to use on the registry and fixes this, are u on vacation?  or have u just stopped reading my posts? good idea. love and kisses,

What is the latest with NAV and sp2, is it now working ok?

works great on mine, but i have anti2003 and subscription just expired. rats… i guess i will have to upgrade to 2004.  uh oh.

I’ve noticed that my TR3A got a little slower after i installed SP2…. (when i hibernate my lappy) i didnt think too much about it, but then i saw this:

Mine too, if I start from scratch, before sp2, it usually took about a minute or so to boot up, after sp2 it took almost two minutes. I tried with the wi-fi on or wi-fi off, it didn’t make much difference, and i tried to disable some non essential service, still the same.

same here. i installed sp2 on my old tablet pc (hp tc1000), the performance was dramatically decreased (for example it took twice the time to startup and shut down; program loading time is much longer too) and now on my sp2 i couldn’t say much because i installed sp2 right away after i got my machine and reinstalled windows xp

does anyone experience slow down de to sp2 as well?
