[quote author=“TruthSeeker”]Darn forum conversation. Its so hard to read tonality. Again, I humbly apologize and retract all offensive comments.
Moi aussi. No appology necessary. One reason I keep coming back is the kindly (if sometimes skewed) banter. I hate it when my attempts at humor fail.
Looks lke SanDisk bumped up the capacity of the MS Pro again, the best one now tops out at a whopping 4GB. That’s a lot of memory in such a tiny space. Only thing is that it’s $959 MSRP, ouch! I carry around a 1GB and a 512MB MS Pro for quick backups and file transfers, and they’ve come in very handy on multiple occasions.

I can’t believe the people that purchase these….But for like if it was for your profession like a photographer…I am sure it would be worth it…
also we will probably be able to afford them in like a year…...as electronic prices drop so quickly….

The retail price won’t be close to MSRP. There will be demand for them. Lord knows I’ve spent almost that much this year on my MS and MS Duo sticks. Nice to have the memory in one or two, rather than a handful.
I wonder how long the TR battery would let you watch movies and listen to MP3s if the media were spooling off a 4GB MS rather than the hard drive.

Also, one has to worry on whether our current MS Pro slots or MS Pro enabled devices (like digicams) can even read that 4GB MS. Instead of issuing a firmware fix for the devices (cough…DSC-F707…cough), I bet Sony will make us upgrade to the next newest version of the device just so we can use 4GB MS.

Yeah, Sony has a great reputation for helping support their older models.
If you can live without your devices, dump them now before the new ones hit the market and your value is sunk.
And that’s why I’m so skeptical about Sony actually adding support for MP3 in some of their current audio products. They have a very poor history of retroactively supporting stuff.

The more I read the article the more it led me to believe they wont even update their current line and its just for their future line…am I the only one that got the same impression?
EDIT: It really upset me when PRO came out and my $500 Clie couldn’t read the format.
I couldn’t help to notice on page one of this thread talking about the TR, when it will reach $200.
If you can get pretty much any notebook running with alive battery that will run a word proccesor…...Its a decent deal….
I really don’t see the TR dropping too much in price against the T-series….Specially with the TR’s carrying the same specs modified and even more with the camera and hot keys….
Also with the white color there might be some that will want to get a hold of one of ours in good or great condition…>I think Erik has alread demostrated this….
Now for when they start upgreding the chipsets and get these processors out above the 1.6Mhz range with a pentinum m processor…. And a better grafixs card….
Don’t see this happeing that soon…>But with the T series I still don’t see that much competion….Except for the intergrated BT….
