Anyone find the left mouse (trackpad) button to be looser than the right? I suspect it is because it is being used much more. The button see-saws quite a bit, althought it is still functional after several months of use.

my notebook is fairly new, and as I plug a usb mouse in 80% of the time, I can not notice any difference in my buttons at this stage…  and no “see sawing” either, they are both fairly firm, and rigid left to right.

wear and tear I guess.

Don’t you just tap the trackpad for a left click?  I hardly ever use the left button. Both my buttons see-saw a little if pressed on the edges but I think they were always like that.

I’m used to using the buttons, but I’ll try using the trackpad.

my left button is loose as well.  the clicking mechanism seems to be close to breaking.

this just started for me out of know where.  it is bothering me.

I had the same problem when I first got my TR2.  Sent it back to exchange for another one and the second computer was fine.  Might want to think about doing the same thing.  Good Luck.

thanks for the info.  my tr is a couple of months old and i got it working the way i like it.  i would hate to send it back for a new one.  which i doubt they would give me anyway.  but i do have the extra warranty.  i will see how it goes.  if the things falls off etc… the i will deal with it.

Another guy on the Yahoo Groups forum had the same problem and he ended up opening his system and readjusting the button and that fixed it for him.

I know that’s a trickier thing to do but it’s worth a shot if you have time and the patience. It’s better than having to send it in.  :wink:

thanks for the advice gr00vy but this sillyrabbitt cant do it.  if you remember i dont even know how to set a new resolution. 

good thing i have onsite warranty protection, which i will use when it gets worse.
