TR3AP1, XP SP2 and Sony’s new Recovery Wizard Update

I had no problems updating my system to Windows XP Pro SP2. However, I now see that Sony has posted a Recovery Wizard Update. Fine… but they state that this update should be performed BEFORE migrating to SP2.

Well, as I am now running in SP2, I have the following questions:

a. Is it safe to install the Sony Recovery update even if I am running SP2?

b. Do I really need to run this update in the first place?

if you can create recovery discs and restore your system fine then i don’t see the point of updating it. unless you are experiencing problems or you simply just want to have the lastest versions/upates for the hell of it.. rolleyes

I was just wondering if I I was inviting problems by NOT updating the application. But then, I did move towards SP2…
