[quote author=“TruthSeeker”]I’d say its a very good all-around performer given its size. Calling it an over achiever would not be inaccurate. Make no mistake though….B plus students do not get to go to Harvard. The TR has its limits.
well, in the case of speed…for me, its not a limit. and perhaps that is what this thread is about (hard to say really). Let me explain performance in the mind of millions, mostly of the non-olympian asian 3rd world persuasian:
time is irrelevent. it does not matter how long a task takes, but is the task done to perfection? time and quality are two seperate issues. They are not one. the latter is important. the former, ehhh. whatever.
for those like us the TR is perfect. It seems to do most everything well, albiet slowly. this cannot be said of many other laptops with the same processor.
i only own one computer. and i do some amazing things, from graphic design to filmaking to whatever i feel like that day. All on the TR. (Coming soon, a review of the TR as DVD Burner). But I know if I had something bigger and faster, I would get my work finished faster. But why should I? To have more time to do more work? To have more “free” time? But wait, all my time is free, and my TR is always there with me anyway. So, none of those things related to time are important to me. In less than 40 years i’ll be dead, so what’s the hurry?
