Doom 3 has to be the best game ever.  I was playing it today and just blown away with the graphics and game play.  Thats without my upgraded grafics card on the way.

Chris687, I just thought you were really excited when you first got the TR.  Now I get the feeling you are like this all the time.  I guess we could use some excitement around here.

I am playing next generation games on my desktop, plane and simple the video cards and game play is better IMO.  I have asked on the TYPE S forums how there game play is and still waiting to hear a response.

Even with the type “S” to have the performance i would want to play games I would have to fork out like $4K.  Not worth it to me when you could build something on you desktop that would play the games better with a widescreen lcd monitor for less than $2k.  But that is in just IMO.

DId I meantion I also use my desktop to watch HDTV.  Play xbox (if i was ever into again) Watch movies etc.

Now I am going off on a tangent.  Oh to you Truth Teller.  I am still excited about my TR way more than Doom 3.  My TR is like my right hand I don’t know how I would funtion without it. 

Top 10 reasons I love my TR.

10.  I can take it with me where ever I go.
9. Everyone that sees me on it has to join in the fun and see what I am doing (if its working, watching movies, playing games, etc)
8. It’s small,  Small but not to small.
9. The widescreen.  You can’t beat it with the ultra portable.
7. Its such a nice peace of equipment I had to put 2 no. 9’s in lol./ :D
6. Best Web surfer ever built period.  I use it as a daily paper.  Take it with me to the breakfast shop and check out the daily news…Very kewl…
5.  It was only $2k break that down over 2 years on zero APR.  I don’t even fell my wallet shrinking.  Unlike buying a $30k auto.  If you know what I mean.
4. My wife gave it to me for my birthday.  (and I know what you are going to say on no.5 about paying for it.  We are married and her money is my money vice versa.
3.  The TR is the most attractive sub/notebook from anything I’ve seen.
2. I use this machine way more than my desktop, my car, any of my toys.  It’s money well spent.  I know I fell bad when I pay alot of money for something and don’t get the use out of it.  Like all my toys in storage with dust. Just to name a few R/C cars, planes, slot cars etc.
1.  Never regreted buying this machine.  I have regrets on plenty of things I buy.  Never on this…...

You have just made me feel real bloody good about ordering my new TR… I know i am not going to have any regrets either. I gave such a hard thought about choosing between a S type and the TR but i had to choose the TR coz its just something really really different and i would have more of an use to it since ill be going to UNI soon.

Doom 3 runs on my TR5MP.  It is slow but definitely playable, which was very surprising.  More then 2 characters on screen it slows down, but it is not bad considering the TR’s spec.
