[quote author=“tifosiv122”]Why does everyone get blurry pics from the T1, just hold your hand straight and use auto focus, I haven’t taken one bad pic yet, I even get actions shots clear as day (heli, race-car, etc).

Because you’re a rock, Eric. A pillar of strength in a shakey world. And based on a lot of the reviews I suspect you’re right. I’m close to popping for the T1, I figure it’s kinda like the TR. Small packages have limitations. Do you know any site that has full resolution images taken with the T1?

Lol, I’m serious. A ton of people have complained about blurry shots, but i’ve never gotten one. I do use auto everything because honestly I know very little about photography, so maybe those who know more are using the more advanced features and getting blurry shots…it just doesn’t happen to me.
well… the blurry pictures come with some of my quick/dark shots.
lately i’ve been a fan of taking pictures with natural lighting effects. Which means… try taking a rock solid picture at night with no flash. They look more realistic, but because the duration has to be longer, there’s more room for blurry images
try getting colors like this on your T1. It’s fun. looks different from a flash image in a dark room eh?

Well, like I said…
Stabilizing a small camera can be a trick, add the limitations imposed by the tiny optics and the raised expectations when you say 5 megapixel and it’s really no wonder people whine.
I’ve spent the day looking at everything in the T1’s class and a step up sizewise and they all get whines.
Bit the bullet, found the T1 at Newegg for $428.50, ordered a 256M MS Duo pro from buy.com for $53 and a leather case off eBay for $20. Would have gone with 512M but everyone’s on backorder. Figure when 512’s come down a bit, the 256 can be the spare. Don’t know how good a deal I got, but I got it.
the infrared feature helps focusing at night, but i turn it off because i need speed… every extra feature adds time. at parties i want a quick point and shoot. on vacation, where i have more time, i’ll turn it on for quality pictures every time. you also reminded me of another issue. red eye. this is an issue with any camera with the flash too close to the lens. solution… don’t look directly into the lens when taking pictures. look a little to the side and you’ll never have red eyes. no camera is perfect. but if you buy the one that suites your needs, you’ll be plenty happy.
btw… congrats on your purchase…you’ll love it for what it does. kinda like your TR. 8)
Nobody recommends the V1?
Much better camera..
Great picture quality…Better then the canons that are out there.
Not that large…
Nice and sturdy..
From all the people i’ve known who bought one..haven’t heard a signle complaint.
Recently my friend returned his t1..to get the v1, and he doesn’t regret it either.
Even got a highly recommended from the people at Dpreview..
who seem to be biased towards canon’s most of the time
ANNNNNNNNND after all of that LOL if you still facy the FUJI finpix you can have my old one for next to Nada ~ its 2200 Took great piccys and I loved it till I lost my heart and my purse to My P10 5.0 mp Cyber Shot :D
Really though give me a nudge if you still want one as mine is as new in box with all the kit ...
I’m looking into the DSLR for my next one..
Debating between the Nikon D70..and the Digital Rebel..
the Digital Rebel has some russian firmware hacks to give it a bunch of featuers that the more expensive DSLR camera from canon has..
but lots of better standard features with the nikon from what i’ve read..
what a pain.
too each their own i bought mine because i needed maximum portability. that buldge won’t fit into my pockets. my t1 is about the size of a deck of cards

buy what suites your needs 8)
That’s pretty much what I came down to. I looked at the V1 and it’s a nice camera. I know I could have gotten a lot more camera for the same or less if image quality were the primary factor.
The size issue reminds me of the old gag line, to paraphrase:
Is that a camera in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
