Does anyone out there have one of these, can’t make up my mind which one to buy. The attraction of being able to record from sky, films and tv programs for watching on my tr is very attractive.
I gather you can buy a smart scart lead which allows you record pay for view films as well! Anyone got one of them?

You would not regret buying the Sony RDR-GX3 Records on DVD-RW, DVD-R, and DVD+RW Blank Media - Recording time - Up to 6 hours per DVD-RW disc. It’s a brilliant piece of kit, makes better dvd’s than any pc. They play great in the TR too!

Thanks for that. I had seriously considered the Sony and I think that I will go for that one. I don’t need the hard drive capacity as we have Sky+. Will let you know how we get on, especially with the smart scart.
 

I never knew dvd reording was so complicated. Have finally managed to reocrd a movie to play on my tr but messed up my first two attempts by using vr mode instead of video then not finalising the disc.
Does anyone know which is the best media for recording onto, + or - RW?Presumably not much call for using -r as then you can’t reuse them!
Planning to record lots off our sky + recorder, just wish it was clever enough to select programs from sky itself, then we would be laughing.

i think more home dvd players support -RW format than +RW.. therefore -RW seems better to me..
