as for backing up on cd/dvd, why’re they getting scratched? i wouldn’t imagine a lot of access to them
if you want sure fire protection, go get a desktop and raid it or ghost your computer with a backup hd every week
btw, i like how you guys are comparing 98SE with XP. lol my 233mhx (win98) desktop boots in 40 secs my state of the art 1gz pentium M (xp)cold boots in about a min and a half. why? it’s the pretty graphics. i like pretty things
As technology gets faster (100mhz-3ghz) developers are stressing the technology to the max…software is usually ahead of the hardware…the faster the systems get doesnt mean the computer will boot up quicker. Load DOS on a 3Ghz machine, it will boot fast…
