**Might get kinda long**

First off, props on the site.  Been lurking the past two days and decided to join up. 

I love the TR, just from what I have read.  Never held it in my hand.  Been reading up about it the past week.

I am an avid PC fan.  Had one laptop abougt a year ago and used it for about a month and then lost interest.  It was a 15” Powerbook.  Loved it, but I would rather use windows.  I like Mac but am just use to Windows.  Sold it to a friend, so paid about 200 bucks to have it for 3 months.  It was a beautiful machine. 

So, my past with notebooks is not that good.  My girlfriend thinks I will never use it like I did last time, and the friend that bought the powerbook said I was crazy.  I really think I would use this machine. 

I went to see it in person today but Best Buy didn’t have it.  The had the S, and he really didn’t know what I was talking about.  He told me the S is the smallest Vaio.  I played with the S and thought it was great, was on it about 5 minutes. 

I am starting school again in 3 weeks.  I think the TR would be perfect to carry to class, and I actually would.  i would type on it a lot I think. 

I think the screen will be ok with me.  The S was pretty and it was like 13in I believe.  I don’t think the 10’ one will bother me.  And my hands are slender. 

Should I go with the TR or the S??  I am going to use it mostly for music, school work and surfing the web.  I have a custom system as my PC.  I don’t plan to play any games on the notebook, do plan on playing DVDs.  I loved sitting in the plane watching a movie on my big 15” screen, but I think I could go smaller. 

I plan on taking this huge tower and monitor into a different room and hooking up a wireless network.  I would like to open up some space, and I would use my Vaio in the bedroom and put the pc in an office like area.  So, that I would have a place to study.

I find for everything but games the TR is perfect.

A lot of games are still OK but if you are likely to want to play some of the latest games then go for the S.

DVD’s are awesome.

the tr would be perfect for you as long as you can accept the size of the screen..

Folks w ith big fingers may not be happy.

The TR is perfect for what I want in a notebook. I’m willing to trade screen size, killer graphics and speed for light weight, integration and battery life.

It’s all trade-offs. All those groovy things are energy munchers.

Just be realistic in your needs and budget. You can get more machine for less money—if you don’t mind the extra weight.

Personally I got the TR as an extension to my desktop.  It’s great for having your own computer with you most of the time and if you want to play games then use your desktop…

As long as your realistic about how much you’ll use a laptop over just waiting to get home to use your desktop then go for what feels right, but try and get a hands on look before committing, the screen size isn’t for everyone.

Sounds like you’ll get more homework done without it, to be honest…

TR or not, I know where I would have been camping out at his age.

So, no girl or no TR??  She is the love of my life, so she stays.

What other kind of TR would I be talking about?  I am confused.

Anyway, I really need a good organizer program.  I loved ical.  I think I am just gonna order this thing in the next couple of days.  Even though I haven’t seen one in person. 

I went by and played with the S some more tonight, I just think it is 2 big.

Not to worry, you can have both. Just remember to turn the TR off once in a while…

Should I get the TR3AP2 or just the TR3AP1?  Main use is just web, word, and a few other small apps and music.
