[quote author=“Chris Lee”]I have the original version the belkin one that is made by fortuna and re-badged belkin..
Bluetooth wise it picks up a serial connection and works as if connected by a serial cable. If you need security then its simply 0000.
I have had no issues with the bluetooth gps and the tr or the ipaq 4150 i have also used it with. I use tomtom3 on the ipaq and a range of software with the pc.
I have herd a lot of complaints about quality control but myself and 2 mates have this gps and have had no issues with it. Its good as you can easy replace battery and comes with loads of extras in the box. The battery is a standard nokia clone which i think is the same as a nokia 8210 battery.

Chris
Thanks for the feedback Chris. It prompted me to look further. They are still remarketing the Fortuna unit. Belkin didn’t give dimensions, found them on a European site. Geeze, tiny thing isn’t it? Will cuddle up nicely with my Bluetake mouse. :D
I did a pretty thourough web search and the comments were mostly positive. Other than a few people who couldn’t figure out a com port and gripes about no maps for Canada and Europe (US version) comments and reviews were positive.
Called Belkin technical support and chatted with a tech. Told him I was thinking about getting the unit and knew that tech would have answers while sales would have a list of features. Come to find out, he has a unit, is happy with it and was able to resolve my last concerns.
Ordered today. Perhaps a road trip will be in order this coming weekend.
Thanks again to everyone for their help.
