[quote author=“TruthSeeker”]Concura, try opening power panel—>power profile. You will notice under the system category that there is an option to modify “CPU control”. Click edit on the bottom right of the screen and you can modify this to be either :
Performance - which should run at full power all the time
or
Adaptive - which uses speedstep
Thanks for the help, TruthSeeker. I believe I’ve tried that already, but I guess my computer is just a little hard-head when it comes to more complex operations ( yes, relaxing on a summer day with my tr, playing GTA:VC is a complex operation for my poor baby ...... is it asking too much that my computer at least start a simple game normally? ).
Oh, well. I need to upgrade to an S-series anyways. Looking very tempting .... mmmm. I wonder if it comes encased in Magnesium alloy? Or some kind of metal? I’ve had bad experience with all-plastic-cased laptops, so I’d like to have just a little security knowing my computer is/might-be a “tank” before I get it.
Thanks.
-best,
