Everytime I come into this site, I have to sign in.  I’ve checked the box which SHOULD sign me in automatically, but it doesn’t seem to work.  What gives?

You’re probably not accepting the cookie for this site.  Maybe your Privacy settings are too high in Internet Options.  You should be able to add this site as one where cookies are always allowed.

What browser and what version are you using? The cookie should last for a while…if you have cookies disabled then you will have to login every time. I suggest looking at the previous post and try adding this site as a trusted site.

I’m using internet explorer.  THe site is trusted and it’s still not working.

Is your browser set to accept cookies at all? Also, it’s actually not just being trusted that will make cookies work. Did you go to the privacy tab on the Internet options and force IE to allow cookies from this domain? You shouldn’t need to do this but you can force it to allow cookies. I’ve tried 6 different machines running IE or IE variants with default settings and all of them accept cookies perfectly fine from this site. You may also want to try clearing out all of your temporary internet files and the cookie file from this site and then trying to log-in again.

I’m terribly sorry you’re having problems with it. I can assure you that this site isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary. I suspect there’s some setting with your IE that’s causing it to fail. If you have Mozilla installed you might want to see if it works with that browser (and it should).

My autologin was OK until recently, now I find that I need to manually log in as well.

No big deal, just a little nuisance.

things I would check if it was me.

Windows updates
third party software/ firewall/ virus scanners etc, blocking cookies.
reinstall internet explorer 6

That is entirely too much work.  I think I’ll just sign in manually.  lol.

And, for the record, I don’t have to sign in everytime at other sites which have the same feature…so I’m puzzled as to why it doesn’t work here.
