I’m not sure this would be the thing to put on our TRs (it strains my Athlon FX) but it’s kind of funky to have OSX running on my PC . It’s running in PearPC , but it’s not quite perfect. The installation took several hours, CD-ROM support is wiggy at best, the network setup isn’t working at the moment and typing is an aadvvvennnturreee.

It would probably be fun for the recent Mac converts to have their old friend back again.

I am waiting for the day they finally realize they can make so much more money when they offer   Mac OSX for x86 platform ... and take over the entire Microsoft userbase.

I’ve been going the other way around for years with VirtualPC for the Mac, and it runs Win2K surprisingly well. Now that Microsoft owns it, it could get even better, but then again this is Microsoft we’re talking about. PearPC shows promise, but it’s a shame that I do a lot of computing on portables, which have nowhere near the horsepower to make things even remotely usable. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this though.

You forget the major income for Apple is the hardware not the software.  They will probably never release Mac OS for x86 since it really wouldn’t make them as much as getting people to change to their hardware.
