Did anyone experience this? After removing MS-Works and trying to launch My Info Center app., two screens pop-up subsequently indicating missing files (I did not write them down ... but they have starnge names!). Then, only a white window with nothing in it, no boundaries, nothing ... just a blanck white area on the screen, appears!
Repairing Info Center application, removing and re-installing it as well as re-installing MS-Works did not help. Only restoring the C-Drive and applications brought things back to order.
I guess removing some applications removes files required by Info Center, perhaps FlashPlayer or something else. BTW, I have experienced this before after removing Vaio Media Distribution. Currently, I am keeping all my applications installed!

what “my info center app” are you talking about?? :?  i have ms-works along with numerous factory pre-installed software removed and never had any problems. 

I do not know whether this app is pre-installed on earlier TR models, but on my TR5 there is an app called Info Center which uses Flash player to annimate a moving menu with different items to choos from (Documentation, Website, etc.)

This is the one I am taking about.

nope..that’s not on my tr2p3…sorry.  i guess you can try uninstalling it but when it asked you to wether delete the shared files that are no longer in use…choose to keep it..maybe that’ll help

Sorry, it was not MS-Works! After a complete recovery, I dared removing MS-Works again and My Info Center did function correctly. I am suspecting Britanica Encyclopaedia since it needs (re-installs?) Macromedia Flash Player and Java ... so I did not install it and will contact the technical support.
