[quote author=“dbs”][quote author=“linc”]what exactly are you trying to do with bt and at&t? using it as a bt modem?? i have a se t630 that pairs with my tr and ux50 fine(GPRS & BT Modem, etc..)...
Just that, simple GPRS connection. I got it licked. Problem was everyone wanted me to use their software or drivers or….
It didn’t help that I was trying to do it in the wee, wee hours. :oops:
Just told bluespace to enable the modem in the T68i, let XP find the modem and used new connection wizzard to set it up. Hardest part was finding the logon details.
Now to try to get the unneeded software unloaded and try FMA.
Thanks for the response

Configure Windows XP to use T68i as a modem
===================================
This step will configure Windows XP to use your T68i as a modem via IR, Cable connection or Bluetooth. I have only configured mine for Bluetooth and IR, and have connected successfully via both methods to Rogers GPRS service in Canada. The options should be identical for any GPRS carrier, however. (I know - famous last words
* Start > Settings > Control Panel > Phone and Modem options
* In the “Phone and Modem Options” dialog, select the “Modems” tab
* Click on the “Add” button. (This next part runs very slowly on my PIII, 700MHz laptop – don’t know why)
* In the Add Hardware Wizard dialog, under Install New Modem, click “Don’t detect my modem; I will select it from a list.” Click Next.
* In the next window that appears, under “Manufacturer” you should now see “Ericsson”. Click on this. Under ,“Models” select the Ericsson T68i you wish to install. You should see it appear there 3 times (Bluetooth, Cable, and IR versions). You’ll have to pick one now and come back to do the other one later. Select one and click “Next”
* Under the “On which ports do you wish to install it” I selected COM5 for IR, COM12 for Bluetooth. Yours may be different. Can’t help you there, sorry.
* You will get a Windows XP warning telling you that the software you are installing has not passed Windows logo testing to verify its compatibility. Based upon your comfort level with this, you will have to determine whether or not to “Continue Anyway” or “STOP installation”. I chose the former, and have yet to regret the decision.
* Click on “Finish”
* Repeat above steps to install the Bluetooth or Cable versions of the T68i modem.
Configure a Windows XP Network Connection entry to use your device and its
GPRS capabilities
=====================================================
* From your Windows XP desktop, select Start > Settings > Network Connections > New Connection Wizard
* In the first screen of the New Connection Wizard, click “Next”
* Select “Connect to the Internet”. Click “Next”.
* Select “Setup my connection manually.” Click “Next”
* Select “Connect using a dialup modem.” Click “Next”
* In the list provided, select the T68i modem you configured in the earlier step. Click “Next”.
* In the “ISP Name box”, enter the name of your ISP. Don’t worry about spelling, this is for your own identification of this Network Connection from your desktop later. Click “Next”
* In the “Phone Number” box, type: *99***2# where “n” is the CID of your GPRS Data Account in your T68i . (To verify this right now, open your T68i and select Menu Settings > Data Comm. > Data Accounts > [name of your GPRS account] > 3. CID). Mine happens to be “3”, so my string is *99***2# (in plain English, that’s asterix, nine, nine, asterix, asterix, asterix, two, pound). Click “Next”.
* Select “My use only”. Click “Next”.
* DESELECT “Make this the default internet connection”. Deselect “Turn on internet connection firewall for this connection”. Click “Next”
* Select “Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop”. Click
“Finish”
* Make sure your phone is either (a) connected to your laptop via IR or (b) Bluetooth
* Double click on the desktop shortcut and click “Dialâ€ÂÂ.
* Bombs away…
