I’ve had a chance to use my professor’s tablet laptop for some time, and I wasn’t too impressed. I think it’s more like a gimmick rather than a necessity. For jotting down occassional notes, the tablet does have some use. However, I would rather use my TH55 for that purpose rather than dragging along a 5.5 machine with me.
Maybe some day, the tablet would evolve into something more essential. Until that day, I will wait and see.

Yeah, and the public agrees with you, the tablet’s sales in general have been less then almost anyone predicted.
Don’t forget about the $50 mail in rebate!
Its true. Tablets have some growing up to do. This is an encouraging effort by Avaratec. It looks to me like it is similar to the V505 with a flip screen and an extra pound. I don’t know how the CPU stacks up, though. The price makes up for any performance disadvantages, but it appears capable.
Thanks for posting, tifosiv122. I know how you love Tablets and Flash hard disks.

There is an *, I think the price is after the rebate, not before…but i’m not 100% sure since I can’t find the other *.
If u click on Buy Now the price shows up as 1349. So, it would mean that the final price after rebates would be 1299. There might always be taxes and shipping costs involved though

Yep, your right. So, $1,299 after rebate, really, really cheap for a tablet.
