[quote author=“ignatious”]Go to Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Device Manager. Select Network Adapters, then Double Click your Wireless Adapter. There will be an Advanced Tab. On it, one of the Properties is “Power Management.” The value is probably set to “Automatic.” Change to “Power Mode CAM (Maximum).”
Thanks, I keep forgetting that stuff’s there, gotta keep it out of the hands of the kiddies I guess. Given all the other things that can be screwed up, why hide it in administration.
Please let us know about the Bluetooth, I haven’t had a chance to try mine yet.
I’m beginning to think it was a GSM network error or logjam. I’ve had the phone go into eternal “connecting…” when trying to access WAP sites. I’ve been running on battery for over two hours now and logged in with no problem a dozen times. (just tried again, testing Murphy’s Law)
As for the bluetooth, I’m beyond pleased. My Bluetake mouse showed up today (I got the white one). The mouse works great and the size is perfect for traveling. Other than my original battle getting it configured, the link to my SE t68i works flawlessly. Float’s Mobile Agent worked right out of the gate.
My BT connection is at 110kbs 2x better than dial-up and is comfortably fast for browsing. There’s a link utility called “Toggle Images” that turns off graphics, so all you have to transport over the web is the text. If there’s an image you want to see, simply right-click on it and specify “show picture”. Nifty, given A$&$ charges by the bit…
One last thing… I am so grateful I got the internal BT (for all it’s failings in the headset arena). BT is ready to go when the TR is. Overpriced, but worth it to me. Besides, the mysterious blue light adds something. :D
