You guys are a trip!  All I wanted to do was try and pass on a GREAT $99 deal for 512mb memory for our TR laptops and I am getting slammed to death for not wanting to ship the thing from NY to India, Switzerland or the UK!  RU Guys kidding me?

Item is no longer for sale, it is going back to Kingston.  No profit, no hassels, no Paypal, no bullshit.

I’ve been studying your offer for a while; you seem legit and I think it’s a reasonable offer, but I’m sorry to say I can’t afford it right now. I’m sorry things didn’t work out the way you wanted, but if you stick around a little longer, you’ll find the community as a whole is a pretty warm-loving one. I hang out here more than most other forums now just because of the nice people and because we’ve all got something to relate with ( yeah! our precious TRs! ).

Thanks but I was never interested in your offer any ways. I have a TR3AP3 which came with 1 gb of RAM. I was just trying to drop in a suggestion so that these people who are not lucky enough to get such deals as the ones available in USA could benefit atleast once.

actually i have been looking for $99 512 ram for very long.  Kingston don’t sell that ram to foreign credit cards holder.  I have problem getting it shipped to Singapore shores!

Don’t know why ericbee should be upset? The offer wasn’t genuine and I didn’t want any other none US menbers to waste time & false hope contacting him. Was a little pissed-off as it was nearly 1am in morning in UK and I was emailing/browsing from my P900 while on holiday (the TR’s at home).

Anyway full correspondance below for clarification, you judge who should be annoyed!

Don’t you have something similar to our International Airmail in the US for letters & small parcels?

Anyway I have more history on TR World,  over 80 deals on ebay with 100% rating & I would have been taking the financial risk.

As pointed out on TR World a buyer in US could just order from Kingston with free p&p & get warranty so you are as well sending it back.”

A Kingston 512 module in UK is appox. $200. Don’t really need the extra memory but made genuine offer to do us both a favour. At least “tifosiv122” tried to help us none US members a while back.

I dunno…  the 802.11/i security standard was just ratified. According to Infoworld: “The Wi-Fi Alliance plans to certify products for 802.11i starting in September. Later this year the 802.11/e standard for wireless video & audio should be in the final approval process. Here are a couple of links if you’re interested:
