I’m not sure if i’m the only one with this problem.

Am using WinDVD5 on my TR1 with 512mb ram.  With a clean boot, while playing any DVD movies, i do a right click for standard options(for main menu, screen resize etc etc) my drive will start squeaking, the movie will be snail slow and jerky for about 15-20 sec until the right click menu pops up!

I’m sure anyone who experience that will find it extremely irritating. Somehow I don’t remember my windvd4 that comes installed have that problem. :(

wow, sqeaking like a mouse eek eek eek?!? ive never heard that one, but my drive will go: eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww and wind down then start SCRATCHING like chikchikchikchik then spin up again. usually associated with a bad disk however…

yeah anad its loud!!!  works fine for vcd or data cd though.

I have tried many many dvds ended up with the same problem smile

well, like i said before, these drives have problems but everyone is pretty hush-hush about it. good luck, i guess ya gotta get a cat or something…
