For the budget conscious, that may be a fine choice.  You aren’t gonna get much done on that thing though.  You are limited by having not enough ram, only ‘b’ wireless, and I have seen the battery reviews on that thing…...eeek!  (Certainly the result of no Centrino).  The CPU isn’t bad, but is average to sub-par for the 12’ range. 

Proceed with caution…....and you will also be looking to upgrade in a very short time.

Lol, I have a tr3ap2, I was just wondering about how bad it really was, since it was only $800.

I dont think anyone would open up a forum devoted to just that machine

I’ve seen one guy with the same/similar model….did look quite nice initially but it doesn’t come close to our TR’s…even the Dell Inspiron 300m looks way better than the Avaratec.

The Avaratec is a Hyundai Tiberon…..it looks racey, but it isn’t.

You get what you pay for, period.

We were comparing the speecific model in the beginning of this thread.  I’m sure Avaratec make a fine product.  But so does Hyundai.
