i just bought a tr3e/b and it came with a japanese Windows XP OS, I had it converted to English OS by a friend of mine, and it’s functioning well except for a few problems:

1. the camera does not work

2. the capture button, the magnify and the volume buttons don’t work

3. the wireless and the bluetooth doesn\t work… couldn’t find the drivers

Any help on my prolems will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You could refer to this thread for getting those components to work (except for bluetooth. It should work fine for a TR3 machine.

and incase you didn’t create recovery discs, you could get the important utils by referring to this thread.

I got all the stuff. They work great.

The camera though still doesn’t function. I open Network Smart Capture and the when I open the camera it says, “Initializing device” and then it just hangs. It doesn’t open.

u probably didn’t follow this step..try it…that should sort out ur problems

7. Once again, goto Device Manager. Under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, you should see 4 entries named “USB Root Hub”. The 3rd one should be for the camera. Double click on it and select the Power Tab and make sure you see something like “Sony Visual Communication Camera VCC-U01” under the Attached devices label. If thats not the case then select another USB root hub and try the same. Now, click on the Power Management tab and uncheck the entry which says “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” Click OK and exit device manager.

I did that too Rahul. But it still says, “Please wait while device initializes..” and then hangs up on me.

When I push on the “capture” button, network smart capture logo opens but then it hangs too.
