I would like to see a page with each forum topic on it along with the most recent 5 or so threads from each topic.

Something like:

Speaking of ideas for the next site upgrade.  I would like to stop making the stupid mistake of not logging in when I post. :x

I think I have done this like 6-7 times in a row now. :x :x :!:

I’ll keep this in mind…thanks for the input.

And Truthseeker aka Guest… :wink:. I’m going to figure out a subtle way to keep that from happening. I may simply put some small text to let you know if you’re logged in or not but it will be up to the user to notice said text. It might be in red or something. I don’t want any sort of pop-up or nag since i hate that kind of stuff. Keep an eye out for a slight change.

No, we’ve discussed it before and it would definitely keep people from registering. Many of the members liked the fact that they could try out the site first and get comfortable using it before registering. I think there’s more good in leaving it open than with restricting it at this time.

get a better browser TS!  for example, Opera always remembers to log me in first without even asking me. its like that with all forum sites where the cookies don’t expire. and even if they do, opera has that wand feature that with one click fills in the userid/password for ya.

its these little things in life that keep ya happy…  :D
