I had just received my brand new TR2MP from SonyStyle UK on Friday! I just can’t express how excited I am now..hehe.. :D The machine is just a piece of art…I do really love it indeed :D! OK, I got the machine with quite a pricey £1709 directly from SonyStyle UK, which is a 5% OFF discount from the original £1799. They do actually have different promotional discount offer such as FREE extended warranty, FREE digital camera and etc., but you have to ring them up to ask and get the deal. I then bought a 512 MB RAM (model no. KSY-U101/512) from SMCdirect (http://www.smcdirect.com) for £108.38 incl. VAT + delivery, which is not a bad price considering buying it in UK! It is working fine and I have got 1GB of RAM in total now..hehe… 8)
OK, before buying the TR, I was using the SONY VAIO PCG-GRT (16"UXGA, DVD-RW, P4-M 2GHz , 512MB RAM) which was quite a high-end machine when I bought it 14 months ago, but still can be considered as quite a decent spec. machine now compared to some machine you can find in the market. Therefore what I was quite worrying is the performance of the P-M 1GHz processor which I thought it won’t be able to match my old laptop (considering I’m getting used to a Dual P4-3.06 GHz Xeon Dell WorkStation with 4GB RAM at work everyday… 8) ). Anyway, I have been using my new TR since yesterday, I am quite impressed and amazed with its overall performance over its small size! I hardly can feel the performance difference between the TR and my 2GHz machine when I do all my usual stuff like net surfing, photo editing, word/spreadsheet editing, programming, mp3 encoding and etc. I do really quite pleased with what this little machine can do…perhaps the added memory to 1GB does make a lot difference..? I was also quite sceptical about the small screen size…but it has gone after I have been using it for a while and I have to admit the size is not great for certain purposes but the overall size has been compromised with the high screen resolution and sharpness. :D
Well, I simply love it now and feel satisfied with all the features provided. I love the integrated Bluetooth and WiFi connection too! I just love to watch all those different colour lights blinking along the panel…haha… 
By the way, I just want to THANK all you guys here making it a fantastic forum about the TR and I have gained lots of information from you.
