After buying my tr and with in 2 weeks dropping (2 weeks with out tr was hell.. their should be a support group for such things.) it I decided I needed to make sure that when I went away to cover a paintball tournament in France that I should make sure it was well protected but also that I could travel light. With all my camera equipment and clothing I needed something small and light, partly whey I chose the tr in the first place.
By luck I came across the following case in a local pcworld store. It seemed it would be perfect as it would keep the laptop protected but also give me room to carry the AC adapter, memory card reader, extended battery fitted and any paper work I might need.
I paid about £30 for it but have found it on the web for as cheap as $25 at
It is sold as a Laptop attache with durable outer shell provides the ultimate protection for a Laptop Computer or Tablet PC. I would question the amount of padding as it relies more on the thick outer shell than padding but so far after a week in a tent on a hill side and 2000 miles in the back of a car it had been fine. I think it helps the fact that it is help in position and does not slip about in side the case. I’m not keen either at moment on the ac plug as it is but will see how it goes. I might find a cover for it like the ones you get when you buy a plug that covers the pins.
